Dear Editor:

I’d like to take a moment to say how much I enjoyed the high school/community band when they played at the boys basketball game on January 20. 

Playing in the band and having the band at all the high school home games was a huge part of basketball season during my time in school and I was sad when we first moved here, to see that they didn’t play. 

I think having the band at home games helps to promote school spirit, is so much nicer to listen to than the rap that is usually played and the National Anthem always sounds better when played live.

Thank you to Meredith Duke and the entire band.  I hope you will consider playing more frequently or, even better, at every home game!
