Boothbay Region Cemetery District trustees agreed unanimously April 18 to place 30% of all lot sales into a six-month CD at Camden National Bank. The trustees previously approved placing the funds into a perpetual care account whose earnings will be used for maintenance. 

In other business, the board will be taking an inventory of veterans' gravesites in May as part of its plan to possibly use the annual $10,000 in funding from George McEvoy Foundation for grave maintenance. Trustees also discussed what projects would fit into the 2025 McEvoy funding application criteria, because "general operating expenses” usually do not, according to treasurer Patty Minerich.
