Dear Editor:
The family of Les W. Smith want to thank many people: the first responders, the EMTs, ambulance drivers, doctors, nurses, technicians, CNAs, volunteers and others that helped at Miles Hospital. They were very caring and kind. Also thanks go to the hospice staff for their help. Les was born March 11, 1925 and died November 7, 2013.
A special thanks go to the crew of Elder Power who made it possible for Les to stay at home for the end of his life.
I am lucky to live in such a wonderful area with such kind and considerate people.
