Dear Editor:

The Boothbay Harbor Rotary Club is honored to celebrate our local veterans with an appreciation dinner each November. And the dinner wouldn't be complete without the involvement of so many. 

We would particularly like to thank Sara Fahnley of And Candy Too for the service medallions made and donated especially for our veterans; Sweet Dreams for the yummy decorated cakes, and of course the American Legion Post for the use of its hall.

We were humbled when Lt. Col. Tyler Blake of the 340th Air Refueling Squadron presented Rotary with a flag that flew with him on a mission over Afghanistan. After all, he's part of Operation New Dawn and Operation Enduring Freedom. All we are doing is putting on a dinner.
