To Ryan (Leighton) and the residents of the Boothbay area:

I am writing this on behalf of the cast of the “Getting Away Together” show to tell you all how much we enjoyed our time in the Boothbay area.

We had made our vacation plans to come to Boothbay a couple of months ago with Audrey at Cottage Connection. It was such a surprise and we were so lucky to be picked to be the cast for the “Getting Away Together” episode on Boothbay. We couldn’t believe they wanted five crazy Cajun women and one Cajun wannabe woman to do this.

The filming crew of PineRidge Film and TV was amazing and we had a blast working with them. Cody always made sure we got where we needed to be. We are so proud to have been a part of this filming process and hope that it is successful in encouraging many more travelers to come and experience the Boothbay region as we did.

Although much of our time was scheduled and very busy, we found time to visit with the people in the area and found everyone to be so welcoming and kind. Filming the show was quite an adventure and we were absolutely amazed at all the fun things to do and see in your area.

Our wonderful memories include learning all about lobsters with Captain Clive and Cage, sailing with Captain Bill and Sally on the Eastwind schooner, the beautiful gardens of the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens (Kris was so much fun), the wonderful lobster which we tried in many different dishes, the unbelievable Maine Clam and Lobster Bake put on by Liz, Allison and Chris of East Boothbay General Store (which really could have been on the cover of a gourmet magazine), shopping in downtown Boothbay Harbor, hiking in your beautiful Land Trust preserves, and so much more.

We are hoping we can come back next year (without the cameras) and do the things that we didn’t have the time to do this trip.
