Propaganda isn’t the truth
Dear Editor:
With the closing of St. Andrews, the people living on the Boothbay peninsula will no longer have the security of nearby healthcare, be it an emergency or not.
Despite the heavy propaganda from "Jim" Donovan (attempting to be friendly and reassuring), plus a half-page newspaper advertisement with a similar message, the hospital is essentially closed.
With no medical care available, especially between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m., dire consequences will surely result at some point.
That may call for legal action against Mr. Donovan for his negligence in eliminating the 24/7 healthcare formerly provided at St. Andrews.
To Joe Gelarden: Good editorial in the September 26 newspaper.
