Mutt Scrub a success
Dear Editor:
Two Salty Dogs Pet Outfitters would like to thank all the folks that helped make the first–ever Boothbay Harbor Mutt Scrub a huge success!
First, a special thank-you to Coastal Shipping for the use of their lawn and dialing up a warm and sunny day! Thanks to Dr. Karina Omark for complimentary nail clippings and advice, Jeff Morris for a superb job as emcee and music maker, and Harborfields for baking a batch of yummy treats for our four-legged guests.
Also thanks to Nancy Hall, Jenny Graziano, and the host of other salty friends who showed up to support the Scrub and lend a hand as needed. Raffle donations raised a significant portion of the day’s haul thanks to gifts from The Pantry, Mutt Nose Best, Wag Rags, Janice Markham and NutriSea. And a huge thank-you goes to our outstanding team of dog washers.
These dedicated young animal-lovers washed, dried and brushed 35 dogs in less than four hours: Keiran Lorentzen, Gracie Sperling, Eli Anderson, Finn Wilson, Noni Lorentzen, Olivia Wilson, Brodie Snyder, Janssen Sperling, Eva Morris and Logan Snyder.
Lastly thanks to Carrie, Ben, Clyde, and Jaxson for spending the afternoon with us and sharing information on Lincoln County Animal Shelter. Thanks to all the generous help and support, we raised over $1,000 for LCAS and BARKK. Tails are wagging and we can’t wait to do it again next year!
