Dear Editor:

Many thanks to several individuals who made this year’s YMCA Camp Knickerbocker Carnival a huge success. YMCA staff and youth who attend summer camp through the Y immensely appreciate the time, effort and fun put into this year’s carnival.

Thank you to the YMCA Camp Committee: volunteers who meet all year long to ensure every child on this peninsula has the opportunity to engage in high quality, camping programs offered through the Boothbay Region YMCA. This committee also volunteers at camp events to make sure that our summer camp programs are a place campers want to come to and where their experiences will last them a life time.

Thank you to many community members that took time to volunteer serving food and tasty treats to attendees. A special thanks to Hannaford, Boothbay Harbor Inn, Candie Crocker, Earl Brewer, Island Treasure Toys, Angel Ames, Good 'N You, Jenny and Mo Osman, Alan and Tanya Baldwin, and Sarah and Jon Baldwin for the generous donations made to this year’s raffle.

Last but certainly not least, thanks to YMCA Camp Knickerbocker staff and CITS who volunteered at the carnival. I can’t stress enough how important you all are to make this event a success and the Y is forever grateful for all you do.
