Boothbay Cornhole Classic Committee watching storm
A decision on whether or not to hold the Cornhole Classic at Boothbay Railway Village Museum this Saturday as scheduled will be made on Thursday, according to Sawyer Boulette of Maine Special Olympics.
In an email to the newspaper, Boulette wrote: “Due to the impending weather heading our way this weekend, the BCC committee has decided to evaluate the situation and make a decision to ‘weather’ or not to postpone the event to another weekend. We will update everyone this Thursday with our decision. Stay tuned!
“Last year’s event was a huge success thanks to the people involved. We want to build upon last year’s tournament, ensuring that the Boothbay Cornhole Classic, in the words of Wicked Cornhole, remains a ‘a premiere event,’ while keeping in mind the safety of everyone in attendance.”
