Class Day 2023: Seniors share memories, gifts and look toward future
Class Marshal Gryffin Kristan hosted Class Day June 9, a light-hearted graduation exercise reflecting on the Class of 2023’s time at Boothbay Region High School. Ryan Clark and Kayden Ames read the prophecy which began in the distant future with both living in San Francisco. Clark is a civil engineer involved with a project rebuilding the Golden Gate Bridge and Ames is the San Francisco 49ers sports manager. The two decide to head back to Boothbay for Thanksgiving taking the 49ers team bus on a cross-country trip. The two visit classmates in Colorado, Washington, D.C., and TD Garden in Boston before arriving home.
Sydney Blake and Rachel Barter presented a look back at the past four years at BRHS from the “lens” of an optimist and a pessimist. The two talked about taking Algebra II, attending school dances and participating in homecoming week and other daily school activities.
Grace Campbell presented the class history which for most began at Boothbay Region Elementary School in 2010. Class highlights included a trip to Squirrel Island, singing the “Friday Song” and visiting Washington, D.C.
Class gifts were presented by Blake, Barter, Campbell and Savannah Compare. Gifts included Tootsie Rolls for Ryan Amaral, silly string for Peter Holbrook and another trophy for Kayden Ames.
