Wear red at the parade
Dear Editor:
What’s a Red Shirt Day? It’s a day to show your support for the caring and professional staff at St. Andrews Hospital, many of whom have saved our lives or those of our loved ones; others of whom have made our recovery, or the passing of our loved ones, a heartfelt journey.
If you want St. Andrews’ Hospital and Emergency Department to remain a vital keystone in our community’s infrastructure, providing round the clock diagnosis and appropriate treatment for seasonal visitors, retirees, and year-round residents, wear a red shirt on Wednesday, June 26 and come to the Windjammer Days’ street parade from 5 to 6 p.m.
If your life was saved by St. Andrews, or that of someone you love, we’ll also give you a big heart to carry and ask you to ride on the Boothbay Region Health & Wellness Foundation’s “Save St. Andrews” float or to walk beside the Float. Let’s make June 26 a Red Shirt Day!
