Once upon a time there was an elegant black lady with tan stockings. This canine beauty was not always so treasured. Though she radiated a gentleness and joy, she was not valued and was hence threatened.

An angel rescued her from certain death in her first home, and safely deposited her at the Humane Society. There she was cared for and kept healthy. This angel shared about her whereabouts, and got the attention of a family in need of such a being. She was adopted, and instantly part of her forever home family.

Though shy at first, as she came out of her self, it became clear she was pure joy and light. She was obedient and a loving companion. Sometimes that has consequences.

She loved to ride, head out the window and all. So when she was not invited to “go” she ran around looking for her ride. Accidentally she was hit. She cried and bolted, to where the family did not know. They searched. There were sightings. Energetically Sadie was sent love and light. The family posted online and caught the attention of a lost dog recovery tracker.

She and her dogs were hired. Keep in mind that time has gone by, a week of varied weather. Dogs are amazing. The trackers picked up on Sadie’s scent, and over the river and through the woods dad, dogs and Tracker went.

They found where she’d been, slept and visited; not too far from home! Dad walked from the sighting area all the way home, so Sadie could follow the scent. 12 hours later mom notice her hobbling in the yard, a very tired, thin but beautiful girl, was home.  She brought herself back to her forever home.

The adventure continues as her back leg was badly broken. How she ran on it for a week we do not know. With the expertise, compassion and guidance of several vets, she received the best possible care with the best possible timing imaginable. Holistic care works; Reiki, prayer and flower essences did their part too to save Sadie’s badly mangled leg. Welcome home, Sadie Grace. We are so grateful.
