The Boothbay Lights Committee would like to thank, first and foremost, this amazing community that we live in. The 2018 season of Boothbay Lights and Gardens Aglow was a huge success and it really does take a village…with over 112,000+ visitors to Gardens Aglow, the region was bustling with activity and we continue to hear of the great holiday memories that were created.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all who made this possible, beginning with our lead business sponsors at Knickerbocker Group and Tindal & Callahan Real Estate. We would also like to thank our map sponsors for 2018: Boathouse Bistro, Harbour Towne Inn, Ports of Italy, Robinson’s Wharf and Russell House Bed and Breakfast. We would like to thank the Boothbay Region Greenhouses and Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens for providing beautiful decorations for the interior and exterior of our Shuttle Station, which was generously donated by Shed City of Warren, Maine. Thank you to them and to our own Dickie Perkins for helping put the finishing touches on the entryway.

We would also like to thank the many people who helped light up this peninsula, including both public works departments of Boothbay and Boothbay Harbor. In addition, we’d like to thank the volunteer members of the Boothbay Harbor Fire Department who helped hang and fix many of the lights on the merchant’s buildings in the downtown area. And, of course, all the residents and business owners who came out in full-force with their own lighting designs and decorations.

Boothbay Lights would also like to thank our Signature Event partnerships and all their staff and volunteers, as without them, these wonderful experiences that happen for the span of Boothbay Lights wouldn’t be possible: the Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce and Harbor Lights, the Boothbay Region Garden Club, The Opera House at Boothbay Harbor, and The Railway Village. We also say thank you to the Joint Economic Development Committee (JEDC) for its continued financial support and for understanding the value of marketing our region to extend the shoulder season for our merchants here on the peninsula.

Finally, we’d like to recognize Bill Cullina and the rest of the staff and volunteers at CMBG. We continue to hear stories from visitors who were blown away by not only the light display, but also the endearing staff that greeted them and helped make their experience on our peninsula a magical time for all. We greatly appreciate all that you’ve done with Gardens Aglow.
