BRES and BRHS pair up for Family Night
Despite the snowy weather, parents, students and community members came to Boothbay Region Elementary School on Feb. 3 to enjoy the Family Night book fair and spaghetti supper to support the senior class.
In the main school lobby were hundreds of books for sale, many priced below retail and spanning grade levels. There were also posters and bookmarks for sale, and all hardcover books were an additional 10 percent off. All proceeds from the book fair go to support BRES.
Upstairs in the BRES cafeteria, the senior class was putting on a spaghetti supper to support project graduation and the senior class. Students rotated jobs, with some manning the food stations while others stayed by the front door to collect donations and others cleaned.
According to Senior Class President Kyle Alamo, the supper raised about $450 in total.
