The snow saga continues: between 3 and 7 inches expected before the weekend
People living on the midcoast are starting to feel like our snow shovels are permanently attached to our hands, and the snow saga continues this week.
According to the National Weather Service in Gray, on Wednesday night between two and four inches of new snow will fall, continuing into Thursday morning and early afternoon with another one to three inches. On Thursday winds will increase to near 30 mph, which will cause significant blowing and possible whiteout conditions depending on the weight of the snow.
Friday will be mostly sunny and cold, with a high near 16 degrees, while Saturday will be mostly cloudy and slightly warmer with highs in the mid-twenties. Saturday will also have a chance of snow during the afternoon and early morning.
