Boothbay Selectmen
Special meeting to discuss town manager search
Thu, 01/22/2015 - 8:15am
The Boothbay Selectmen will meet with a Maine Municipal Association representative on Jan. 27 to discuss the town manager search. The selectmen will meet with David Barnett at 7 p.m. in the meeting room to discuss the search’s parameters.
The meeting will be held in open forum. The selectmen don’t expect any public participation, according to Town Manager James Chaousis.
The board’s discussion with Barnett is the only agenda item.
The selectmen are beginning what they expect to be a 3-4 month search for a new town manager.
On Jan. 14, Chaousis submitted his two month notice to take a similar position in Rockland.
The selectmen hired the MMA this month as a consultant for a $4,900 fee.
