Selectmen to review liquor licenses, Carter property
A full agenda awaits the Boothbay Harbor Selectmen at their meeting on Monday, Feb. 23.
The issue involving the tax-acquired property on Lobster Cove Road owed by the Carters will be revisited. The Carters purchased a parcel of land from the town in 2013 that was listed as 1.3 acres, but has turned out to be just one acre, according to the Carters.
The Carters are asking the town to refund part of their purchase price which they will, in turn, use to purchase land from the neighbor so their parcel will equal the 1.3 acres they wanted.
In other business, several liquor licenses are up for renewal, including Tugboat Inn, Cap’n Fish’s Cruises, Andrews’ Harborside and Kaler’s Crab & Lobster House.
Planning Board Chairman Mike Tomko will make a presentation about new parking ordinances the board has written up.
The selectmen will discuss the appointment of Scott See to the board of appeals, and will also be voting in a new vice chairman, as former vice chairman, Jay D. Warren, resigned at the last meeting.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Boothbay Harbor Town Office. The public is invited to attend.
