Re: Responses to 'Bad Idea'
Dear Editor:
It seems a bit ironic that it was felt four letters were needed to defend the nonsense on the Common, particularly given every letter misquoted Ms. Mancuso and took her entirely out of context. Could it be that while the event itself turned out to be peaceful, much of the rhetoric may not have been?
Maybe you realize that that sign decrying DOGE or someone calling Elon Musk a fascist is in part responsible for the violent attacks on Tesla dealerships, Telsa owners and the cars themselves.
Perhaps despite being completely tone deaf, in the back of your mind you know that bit of cloth the Palestinian Arabs call a flag and the associated chant “From the river to the sea” are antisemitic and a rallying cry for the destruction of the sovereign state of Israel and its people.
Could it be that you suddenly recognized that the guy holding the 86/47 sign or someone calling President Trump "Hitler" contributed to two confirmed assassination attempts on the President’s life? One of those came within a hair’s breadth of being successful. Was your disappointment that it wasn’t, finally, of concern for you?
Given that the Left has perpetrated more violent protests than the Right could even dream up excuse us for being concerned. Even the much-mentioned January 6 only violence of any note was the killing of Ashli Babbitt by an incompetent capitol policeman.
Maybe you should all climb down off that high horse of yours and stow your oh so righteous indignation and remember, it is you who keeps crowing that words are violence.
