The Missing Children Alert Program, a Maine 501 (c) (3) charity, will have their annual ID program this year at Dolphin Mini Golf in Boothbay Saturday, Aug. 17 from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

A picture and thumb print is taken, and all information goes onto a card which the parent keeps. If anything happens to the child, parents can grab the card with all information and go to the police and get the amber alert started.

The children also get small coloring books with little tips, for example, don’t talk to strangers, do not get in a car with a stranger, let the kids know there is stranger danger out there.
