During Stewardship Season, Pastor Todd Weir invites you to explore different ways to be rooted in God’s love. In the next weeks the Stewardship Preaching Series, Rooted in Love, will cover a section in Mark’s Gospel where the disciples are challenged to love more deeply. Pastor Todd invites you to read and reflect on the scriptures ahead of time.
Sunday, Oct. 31 he will offer his sermon titled, Rooted in Love of God and Neighbor, exploring Mark 12:28-34. The Great Commandment to love God with all our heart, mind, and strength and love our neighbor as ourselves is a touchstone for our faith journey. How are the love of God and neighbor intertwined? Which of these is more of a challenge for you?
This week the Stewardship Committee has asked deacon, Alice Mutch, to share how the ministries she serves "root" her and make her feel connected to our church and community.
Ted Repa will deliver the invocation this week and head deacons will be Ted Repa and Ida Lancaster.
Pastor Todd will be hosting a Bible Study on Zoom that will explore the scriptures of this five-week worship series Mondays at 11 a.m. You call the church at (207) 633.4757 for more information.
