Your source for local elections
After weathering one storm, here at the Register we are getting ready for another.
This one (hopefully) won't leave anyone without power and shouldn't knock down any trees.
It is once again election time. This is what we've been waiting for this. This is our World Series … our Super Bowl.
This is what we do.
When the polls close at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6 our staff, just like the town clerks, will go to work.
Once we get results, you get results. We will be posting voting totals town-by-town until the last of Lincoln County sends us their results.
Check www.boothbayregister.com often. We're going live but we're staying local.
And we aren't just local; we're hyper local. Sure, we'll write about the president and the three-headed Senate race, but we won't waste too much time on it. We really just care about the people from our community.
We pay more attention to Fossel and Johnson than King, Dill and Summers. We're more anxious about MacDonald and Hawke than Pingree and Courtney.
Sure, the presidential race is important, but we care more about who will be on the Lincoln County Commission.
If you haven't already, like us on Facebook. Did you see our Elections page? Want results streamed through Twitter? Follow @BBRegister, @BBRegisterBen, @BBRegisterRyan or @BBRegisterClark for results.
So sit back, refresh often and get ready: It will be a wild night.
