Twice a year Y staff and volunteers hold a Fill the Y Bus Food Drive to give back to our community. This year, Bigelow Laboratory staff and volunteers have partnered with the Y to host the drive on Monday, Dec. 1 at the Boothbay Harbor Hannaford from 1 to 6 p.m.

Simply stop by the bus, which will be parked beside Hannaford, and pick up a flier, which contains a list of the items the Boothbay Region Food Pantry is in need of. Do your shopping and after, drop off your donations at the bus. YMCA and Bigelow staff and volunteers will collect and sort the food. Once the bus is filled, we drive up to the Food Pantry and unload. It’s that simple.

We chose Dec. 1 as it happens to be the day before Giving Tuesday.
