Dear Editor:

On behalf of all the volunteers and participating families at the Boothbay Region Food Pantry, I want to thank all those who donated to the pantry during the recent Souper Bowl of Caring. We look forward to this event every year as it has become our largest fundraiser.

Thanks to you, we received a total of $7,018.50 in monetary and food items donated through the tremendous support of the Barters Island Baptist Church, Boothbay Baptist Church, Boothbay Harbor Methodist Church, Boothbay Region Community Fellowship, Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor, Christian Science Society, Edgecomb Congregational Church, Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Southport Methodist Church, St. Columba’s Episcopal Church and The First (now the First National Bank).
