Dear Editor:

The Edgecomb School Board and administration would like to communicate how happy we are with our five-year contract to accept and educate any pre-k through grade 6 students from Alna and Westport Island who wish to attend Edgecomb Eddy School. We value this relationship, welcome these students, and look forward to seeing it grow.

It is important to us to fulfill our agreement, and we are very confident that we can appropriately educate any of the students from those two communities who wish to enroll in Edgecomb. As one of the schools in the state that consistently scores in the top 10 according to the Maine Department of Education, we are honored to have the opportunity to serve Edgecomb students as well as students from Alna, Westport, and other surrounding communities.
