Lincoln Theater is turning 150! On January 26, 1876, the formal dedication of Lincoln Hall was held with a grand march and gala event. Thus was born the beloved Lincoln Theater. We want you to help us celebrate by sharing your memories and thoughts about what makes Lincoln Theater special to you! If you have a moment to send us an email or give us a call we would love to hear from you. Please reach out to us at info@lincolntheater.org or (207) 563-3424.
What else are we doing to celebrate? We’re giving the old girl a makeover! This September, we will close for interior work in the lobby and concessions area, as well as restoring the grand staircase, adding cupholders in the auditorium, and more! Then, for the entire 2026 calendar year, we will be celebrating with special events to recognize this incredible milestone. From experiencing the silent film era with live musical accompaniment to gathering for a banquet at Wanderwood in Nobleboro, we are looking forward to a year filled with excitement and shared experiences with you. Stay tuned for more info!
The Lincoln Theater is located at 2 Theater Street in downtown Damariscotta.
