A walk down Cross Point Road

Cross Point Road in Edgecomb is a nice road to take a long walk. The cars that always seem to be in a hurry, traveling seemingly too fast for safety down Eddy Road, are fewer and further between on Cross Point Road.
It’s a good walk for a food columnist who usually finds herself thinking about food while walking, and often uses the time to dictate her next column to her iPhone.
That was the case on a recent Saturday. It was a relatively mild day for mid-January, even with the sun lurking behind the gray clouds.
While dictating thoughts about hamburgers and handmade french fries, and dreaming up a concoction for a creamy orange frappe of some sort, the beauty of the landscape and the trees and rock walls and fences eventually diverted thoughts to photos of the sights along the road.
Here are some of them, taken on Jan. 21.
