Trevett Column: Pizza Night April 18
We are back — back at the BICA hall on April 18 at 6 pm that is. And back by popular demand – Pizza Night with Chef Alan. Those folks that have been lucky enough to attend in the past know the variety of pizzas offered is endless and that they are scrumptious. Kindly bring an appetizer, salad or dessert to share. And bring your beverage of choice. Water and coffee will be available. To help with shopping please RSVP by calling Judy at 633-5341 or emailing her at judy@winterisland.com. You can also let her know if you can provide a pizza stone.
Two out of three is pretty good and certainly better than last year’s record. That is how many winter potlucks we were able to schedule. January’s was cancelled due to a snowstorm. We thank Marianne for offering her home for that night. Mel and Evelyn hosted February’s potluck. It was a fun evening by the fire with soups provided by Arlene, Alice, Nancy, Kathleen and Evelyn. And March found us at Sally’s home. She always goes the extra mile and had a delicious chicken casserole for everybody to enjoy. We do thank everyone that brought items to share as that is the only way these evenings work.
Thanks to Bill and Paul for getting the BICA hall ready to go after its winter nap. The water is running and the heat is heating. There are many interesting evenings planned for the rest of the year so put the third Wednesday of every month on your calendar for the potlucks.
Remember that you are welcome to borrow any of the books at the hall. There is quite a diverse selection. You are also welcome to donate your read books. We do periodically take these books to the Boothbay Harbor Library Used Book Store.
And speaking of garage sales. June 30 is the date. It is not too soon to put things aside to donate. If you can’t hold onto things, call Louise at 350-4032 to make other arrangements. Please remember that we do not take clothing or oversized items.
