Thanks from the Lions Club
Dear Editor:
The Boothbay Region Lions Club celebrated its 60th anniversary, which was open to the public to thank the community. Timmy Sprague and the Murky Water Band entertained all in attendance. A big thanks to the band for a wonderful time.
Thanks, also, to Lynne and John, Ken and Joyce, Karen and Mike for helping set up, and to all the members who brought appetizers and attended. Karen Nickerson jumped right in to co-chair the event and made sure the place looked great. Tom Nickerson, Mary and Alan Tilton ran the 50/50 drawing, and Norm Irish, for not letting the "well go dry.”
It was great to have Harry Pinkham in attendance as a charter member and President Jennifer Hyson presented him with a boutonniere for his years of service.
The Boothbay Region Lions Club continues to serve the community and welcome any new members to come and see what we do for our local area.
Thank you members for your support and helping make our celebration a success.
