Dear Editor:

We would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who donated to this year’s YMCA Annual Fund Drive. Through the support of all 603 individual donors, we were able to raise $289,273!

This is certainly an incredible amount of help that goes back to our community. It was a great experience working together as a mother/daughter team, as well as connecting with all of the donors in one way or another.

We would also like to thank Doris Welch for her unending accounting of funds and letter printing, not to mention keeping us up to date.

It’s never easy to ask people for money but we both are committed to the Y and will continue to support its beliefs, programs and members in the years ahead. Now, because of the successful fund drive, the Y will be able to offer programs and assistance to everyone who walks through the door.
