Successful dinner
Dear Editor:
The Haiti Benefit Dinner on February 7 was a great success with over 230 participants and upwards of $8,000 raised for projects in Gros Morne, Haiti.
The Lincoln County Ecumenical Committee for Haiti would like to express its deep gratitude to all those who participated or donated funds. The outpouring of support from the Lincoln County community was truly remarkable and is a testament to an enduring community spirit that extends to the neediest of our brothers and sisters in Haiti.
In particular, the Committee would like to thank St. Patrick’s Church and the Shamrocks; St. Andrew’s Youth group members; Tom Schwartz, Todd Maurer and the staff at King Eider’s pub; Alan Baldwin; Jennifer Meade; Lincoln Academy art students and members of Alpha Sigma Gamma fraternity; the students and teachers of Maine Music Outreach; Maine Coast Bookshop; Skidompha Library; Lincoln County Television; this newspaper; and a legion of volunteers and friends who contributed in so many ways to making the evening a success.
