Spruce Mountain takes down Boothbay
The Spruce Mountain Phoenix used a pressing defense, inside and outside scoring and kept pouring it on to easily defeat the Boothbay Region Seahawks, 93-19, on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at Boothbay Region High School.
The Phoenix did take off the three-quarter court press beginning in the second quarter after they had built a 32-6 lead.
The game was the final game of the season for the Seahawks. Seniors Meg Sledge and Sarah Kreft were honored before the game.
Boothbay finished the season at 5-13.
Spruce Mountain finished the regular season at 16-2 and are seeded second in Class B South before the post-season tournament begins.
