Dear Editor:

Front page news with photo does indicate serious crime, doesn't it? After all, responsible reporting and the Boothbay Register/Wiscasset Newspaper would never indicate a person guilty until proven innocent, would it?

It would be be vicious, irresponsible and unconscionable to report an unknown allegation by an unknown entity, yet put forth the identity of the accused (with photo) for speculation, imagination and damnation.

That would be like putting the possible criminal in stocks in the town square.

We should probably thank you for keeping us all informed and safe from possible criminals.
