Southport selectmen approved a special amusement permit July 29 for the Lincoln Arts Festival. The license is for unamplified vocal or instrumental music. Lincoln Arts will hold a fundraiser Aug. 21 at Hodgdon Yachts from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A harpist will perform, according to the application.

In other action, selectmen authorized payment to Boothbay Region Health Center for $13,000. In March, residents approved the contribution during the town meeting. "Your grant of $13,000 will go a long way to support the mission of the health center to provide area residents with affordable primary care," wrote President Dr. Paul Taylor.

Selectmen meet next at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5 in the town hall.
