Southport planning board acts on applications
The Southport Planning Board on April 2 approved one application and conditionally approved another.
Chris and Debbie Collier of Charlestown, Massachusetts received conditional approval to renovate their Pound Road property. They plan to tear down and rebuild on their non-conforming lot. The property is in a residential and shoreland zone. The couple is required to remove a gravel driveway and concrete foundation prior to receiving a permit.
Ken Curtis of Freeport received approval to tear down and replace a workshop and an apartment on his Cape Newagen property. The property is in a residential zone and growth district.
The board is looking to fill three slots. Chairman Skip Simonds said one regular member and two alternates are needed. The board meets next at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 7 in the town hall.
