The Southport Planning Board approved two applications Feb. 11 and later discussed potential ordinance changes in a workshop. BILL PEARSON/Boothbay RegisterThe Southport Planning Board took swift action Feb. 11 in approving both applications before it. Hodgdon Yachts Services, LLC received approval to construct an 80-foot by 35-foot building to replace one the same size. The prior one was demolished.
Joel and Laura Kaplan of Katonah, New York received approval for an addition of a small office over a third-floor roof deck. Scott Stark represented the couple during the presentation.
After concluding business, the board held a workshop to discuss potential ordinance changes.
The board meets next at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 4 in the town hall.
