Silent auction of Orchulli photos to benefit harbor library
This shot of the H.M.S. Bounty was photographed by Joe Orchulli II during his years as a photojournalist with the Boothbay Register. Orchulli had also been a crew member on the Bounty a decade or so ago. It is one of his 33 images on display at the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library, part of a silent auction Orchulli offered to do to benefit the library.

Joseph John Orchulli II, known around the Boothbay region as “Joey O,” photographer, songwriter, musician.Photographer Joe Orchulli II has an exhibition on display at the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library. Thirty-five photographs are on canvas, two are on aluminum plate, can be viewed in the Community Room on the second floor and in the front room of the library.
The show images are part of a silent auction, organized by Orchulli to benefit the library. One hundred percent of the auction proceeds will go directly to the library.
To bid, put your name, bid amount and phone number on the sheet under the photo(s) you are drawn to. The auction ends Aug. 30 ... tick-tock, people, Tick-tock!
Winners will be notified at the conclusion of the auction.
Checks will be payable to the the library and prints will be available for pickup at the Boothbay Register (courtesy of Editor Kevin Burnham who volunteered his services to take down the exhibit.
The library is located at 4 Oak Street in Boothbay Harbor.
