Dear Editor:

I am "away" right now but was shocked to hear about Mary Baudo’s position being eliminated from the Y.  

Mary is the best! She is a huge asset to the Y and to the members she serves. I am one of the many seniors who know her workouts and classes are geared to our health and wellness. They are challenging and yet mindful of any limitations we might have. She knows us by name and always takes time to address our concerns. She is professional and polite and the first person I think of when BRYMCA is mentioned.

A core goal of all programs at the Y should be wellness. Eliminating the wellness director does not make sense. I would hope that the "powers that be" reconsider this inappropriate decision. Mary: I/we love you!
