Rocked the Mill Pond
Dear Editor:
On August 2 we “rocked the Mill Pond” at Barter's Island at our concert to raise funds and awareness for Friends of Thai Daughters, an organization fighting child trafficking through education.
On behalf of Thai Daughters Mee and Pui, and the other children who stand to benefit from our concert, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all who contributed to the success of this event. Our thanks to the cast and crew of Music Doing Good, notably Marie Bosarge, David La Duca, Ray Younkin and Kirsten Johnson.
They created a powerful performance, connecting with the audience on a very personal level. We also want thank our amazing friends and volunteers including Pauline Dion, Kim Hodgdon, Marianne Reynolds, Nick and Suzie Mace, Betty Torrance, the Cowan, Fogarty, Rendell and Sieben families, Alice Zinkowski, Barbara Marr, Liz and Alison Evans from EBGS, the Reverend Azud, Seth Lewis, Jack Fulmer, Dickie Spofford, Boothbay Harbor Shipyard and Jonne Trees from Channel 7.
It truly "takes a village"! The outpouring of support and generosity reminds us why we love this community so much. Khob khun ka (thank you).
Patty Zinkowski, Jane McBride, Patti Salvucci, Gina Rossano, Mee Aryi and Pui Kantarat
