In lieu of the traditional Windjammer Days Street Parade, business and homeowners have been invited to decorate their properties for a pandemic “drive-through” parade for residents and visitors to enjoy.
Here, Mark and Dianne Gimbel have decorated the Smiling Cow on Commercial Street with a pirate theme. The Porch Parade is expected to begin Monday, June 28.
The Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce is holding a contest for the ”Land, ho!” theme and everyone gets a vote! Printed maps will be available at the Chamber office at 97 Townsend Ave. and at the FWD information tent. Votes in the three categories, the third is nonprofits.
