Planning board schedules public hearing for Twisted Willow Farm
The Edgecomb Planning Board had good news Thursday, March 5 for Twisted Willow Farm. A site walk was performed Feb. 28 on the River Road property where a proposed 20-stall barn and indoor riding arena are planned.
Twisted Willow Farm is a three-person partnership between Ronald and Juliette Cohen of Boothbay Harbor and Rebecca Abbott of Boothbay.
Chairman Rebecca Graham reported she walked the site and "there didn't seem be any concerns as we saw the buildings' layout and how the waste would be managed." Member Phil Haas echoed her report. "I thought it was informative and helpful to see everything in perspective versus two-dimensional images on paper," he said.
The board previously scheduled a public hearing for Thursday, March 19 at 6:30 p.m. The board will hear public comments during the hearing before voting on project approval.
In other action, the board planned on reviewing a site plan application for a single-family house on Shore Road. The applicant is Joseph DiMauro, but neither he or a representative attended the meeting. Graham said she would contact the applicant about placing him on a future agenda.
The board meets next at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 19 in the town hall.
