Considering the position you are running for, what do you feel are the three most pressing issues? (350 words or less): First, affordability remains a real concern, as rising school costs continue to impact local taxpayers. At the same time, we need to ensure students are building strong foundational skills in reading, writing, math, and critical thinking so they are well prepared for what comes next. Finally, maintaining trust and alignment with the community is essential — clear communication, transparency, and thoughtful decision-making will be key to moving forward together.
Any other thoughts on why you are running or what you can bring to the office? (150 words or less): I grew up right here, went to Wiscasset schools, and came back to Boothbay Harbor in 2014. It’s a special place to me, and I care deeply about our community and our kids. For over 30 years, I’ve worked in jobs where I help people learn, grow and get ready for what comes next in their lives. I’ve spent my career supporting others as they build skills and confidence.
I’m running because I believe our schools should be places where every child feels supported, challenged, and excited to learn. We can keep our schools strong while making sure they work well for families and our whole community.
