Patricia Q. Farris
Patricia Q. Farris, 82, passed away on Sept. 9, 2026, at her Bath, Maine residence.
She was born in El Paso, Texas on May 17, 1944, a daughter of Lloyd and Doris (Cordiner) Quinn. She graduated from Avon High School in Avon, Massachusetts, graduated from the University of Massachusetts, and received her master’s degree at the University of New England.
On June 24, 1967, she married Prescott D. Farris. During Prescott’s military career, they were stationed in California, Florida, the Philippines, the Netherlands and in 2009 they returned to Bath, Maine. She enjoyed gardening, collecting rocks and shells and reading.
Patricia taught at Wiscasset High School and AFNORTH (AFCENT) International School in the Netherlands as a DODEA teacher. She also volunteered with Midcoast Literacy mentoring and fostering reading skills.
She was predeceased by her parents and her sister Ann.
She is survived by her husband Prescott Farris of Bath; two sons, Charles and his wife Pam of Lakewood, Colorado, Prescott and his wife Jennifer of Burke, Virginia; two sisters, Shirley Quinn of Lindale, Texas, and Sarah Hoover of Gig Harbor, Washington; two grandsons, Prescott and Robbie, and many nieces and nephews.
