All community friends are invited to a warm send off filled with extraordinary performances and a lot of laughs at a Concert and Roast at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 12 in the Sanctuary of the Boothbay Harbor Congregational church. There is no
cost for this event but a letter, card, or note from you would be much enjoyed.

We'll put baskets by the doors for you to drop them in as you arrive. In the extraordinary event that you won't be able to attend the concert you could drop your cards off in the basket labeled "Ode to Carol" in the lower entry of the church.

Carol Cragin has been a very active member of our year round community for the past 27 years. During her time with us she has sung with the Congregational Church Choir, The Sheepscot Valley Chorus, and the Lincoln
Arts Festival Chorus, not to mention assorted small ensembles and Talent Show solos.

She's known as an enthusiastic and fast knitter who also teaches private and group lessons in addition to unraveling people's knitting problems and fixing others. She has worked at various shops in the area helping people to match or pick out just what they need to create fine needlework projects or delicious cooking. Now Cragin has determined that this is the time for her to move to Toledo, Ohio to live near her daughter and grandson while she is still young enough and able to develop new friends and establish a new community.

Performers at Sunday afternoon's concert include Sean Fleming, Linda Blanchard, Dr. Robert Russell, Singers from Lincoln Arts Festival Chorus and Sheepscot Valley Chorus, the Boothbay Harbpr Congregational Choir, Donald Duncan, Tom Dewey, Holly Stover, Cole Hyson, Kerry Jackson, Carolyn Lanigan, the Shepard Quintet, Kim Marten, Genie O'Connell and members of the community with some anecdotes. Audience members will be invited to join in singing three pieces.

Following the Concert everyone is welcome to a "Mocktail" Party downstairs in Fellowship Hall featuring Barclay Shepard's legendary punch, finger foods, and the opportunity to say a personal good bye to Cragin. Bring your friends and neighbors and let's celebrate her time with us!

The church is at 125 Townsend Ave. in Boothbay Harbor. Parking is available in the back of the church on Eastern Avenue.
