Thanks to all the veterans, family and friends who attended the 240th birthday celebration for the United States Marine Corps on Nov. 8.

Special thanks to special guest, George Whitten.

I asked John Druce, the oldest Marine in attendance, if he was in (the service) during the Vietnam War. He said he was in (the war) we won!
