News and notes from the Community Center
We regret to inform you that fresh vegetables from Veggies to the Table will no longer be available at The Community Center on Fridays during the growing season. Free food is still available at the Community Fridge at the Boothbay Town Office, through Food for Thought via the Community Resource Council, at the YMCA, and at several other locations around town.
The Community Center is excited to announce a bake sale on Wednesday, July 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All proceeds will support programs and services at the Center.
A special thank you to everyone who supported our Windjammer Days 50/50 raffle. The winner will be announced next week, so stay tuned!
The Visually Impaired Persons Group will have its next monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 1 at 1:15 p.m. at The Community Center. This will be a relaxed discussion where members can share how things are going, talk about any challenges, and celebrate their successes together.
The Community Center will be closed on Friday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!
Our regular daily games continue each week, offering fun, laughter, and friendly competition. Whether you're a regular or new to the group, there's always a seat for you at the table!
We’re looking to bring people together through new ideas—do you enjoy arts and crafts, painting, or other creative activities but need space or company? Thinking of starting a group that brings neighbors together? Let’s make it happen!
Stop by and have a chat with us—we’d love to hear your ideas. The Community Center is always looking for new and interesting activities that help build community and connection.
