Nature’s Corner featured at Festival of Trees

Fri, 11/09/2018 - 7:00am

A featured shop for the upcoming Festival of Trees is Nature's Corner featuring works of art made from organic components such as bark, shells, moss, pine cones, seed pods and other natural treasures. A group of Garden Club crafters has been working since the spring to create popular items like mussel shell trees and ornaments, small decorative birdhouses and “edible” birdhouses. New items this year include fairy houses, clay pot trees, palm bark reindeer, straw flower ornaments, oyster trees, and sea urchin jellyfish. These crafty ladies are also the decorators of this year’s “Merry and Bright” theme tree.

Festival of Trees event is located in the historic Opera House at Boothbay Harbor, 86 Townsend Avenue, Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Admission and parking are free. Festival opens Friday, Nov. 30, noon to 5 p.m., and continues Saturday, Dec. 1, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 2, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
