Dear Editor:

For the past seven-plus years, there has been no effective political opposition to the systematic erosion of our Constitution, the de-stabilization of our precious healthcare system with false promises and spiraling costs, the opening of our borders illegally and indiscriminately to any and all, the allowance of our avowed enemies in the Middle East to arm themselves with nuclear warheads and virulent jihad-ism, and the use of regulatory agencies to target political enemies.

And then along comes the “Trump” phenomenon, with its brash promises to close the borders, build a wall, repeal Obamacare, stop the flood of unverifiable immigrants, and essentially prevent America’s leftist juggernaut from continuing to drive full speed ahead, and succeed in fundamentally transforming America into a country most Americans don’t recognize, or want.

Donald Trump may not be the right guy to fill the vacuum, but there is an obvious reason for his current rock star popularity, supplied by no less an authority than Aristotle himself.
