Mike Pander: candidate for Boothbay selectman
Dear Editor:
We have known and worked with Mike Pander for many years here in the Boothbay region and we are writing in support of his candidacy for election to the Boothbay Board of Selectmen. He is a serious and dedicated person in everything he does, both in the public sector and with local non-profit organizations. Mike is a past vice chair of the Boothbay Planning Board, was active in the efforts to save St. Andrews Hospital and is a past board member of the Boothbay Region Land Trust where, today, he is a dedicated volunteer. Also, at present, he is a volunteer mediator in the Consumer Protection Division of the Maine State Attorney General’s Office.
His experience as a mediator has taught him to “be nice,” no matter how difficult a situation he is facing. He knows that informed and civil discourse is the best way to solve problems and get things done. This is a skill set that would be welcome anywhere especially in small town government. He works well with everyone.
Mike has an extensive background in law enforcement and public safety in both the University of Connecticut System and at Bowdoin College. He has experience in insurance risk management, loss control and regulatory affairs as a past assistant vice president at TD Bank Insurance.
Mike Pander’s skill set will add dedication, civility and knowledge to the Boothbay Board of Selectmen. Please vote for Mike Pander for Boothbay Selectman.
