The Midcoast Sports Hall of Fame is reminding sports fans that in order to be selected to the hall, you have to be nominated. Anyone can nominate someone. We cannot act on an individual/team without a completed nomination form. There are three categories for induction/selection. They are regular Induction, Legends, and Outstanding Team(s). Requirements to be considered for Induction into the MSHF include the following:

1. Attended one of the high schools included in the Midcoast area (Knox and Lincoln counties).

2. You must be at least 30 years old.

3. Played, coached, taught, or administered, at one of the schools in the Midcoast area.

4. Made significant contributions to organized sports in the Midcoast area, as an athlete, coach, administrator, official, trainer, broadcaster, or other associated position.

The criteria for becoming a Midcoast Sports Legend:

1. You must over 40 years of age and made significant contributions through sports in the local communities in the MSHF coverage area (Knox and Lincoln counties).

2. Made these contributions over an extended period of time.

3. Displayed good moral character and behavior.

4. The nominee does not have to have been born in the MSHF area or have attended school in the MSHF area.

Criteria for being selected as an Outstanding Team:

1. Team members must be over 30 years of age.

2. The team has to have won one or more league or state championships or made other significant contributions through sports to the MSHF coverage area (Knox and Lincoln counties).

All nomination forms must be receivedd by June 1, 2026.
