The Memorial Day Services were greeted by fair and balmy weather as the parades moved from the Boothbay Common to East Boothbay on Monday, May 27

Among those present at the Boothbay Common was David Clapp, 80, who studied Chinese in the service language school in Monterey, California. He was in  active duty in Asia from 1958-61. Also, Navy serviceman York Fischer, 84, who served during the Korean conflict from 1952-56.
